True Japanese Reiki, as founded by Mikao Usui, is not merely a relaxation practice—it is a hands-on energetic treatment rooted in deep presence, sensitivity, and trust in the body’s natural healing intelligence.
At its core, Reiki Ryoho begins with stillness. Through Gassho and quieting the mind, the practitioner connects with universal energy and allows the body’s needs to guide the session. Rather than using fixed routines or techniques, the hands are naturally led through Reiji (spiritual guidance) to areas requiring attention.
In these areas, the practitioner senses Hibiki—subtle vibrations or signals from imbalanced or weakened tissues—and remains there until harmony is restored. This process is not theoretical; it is grounded in observation, experience, and a long lineage of practical application across physical and energetic conditions.
True Japanese Reiki is therefore not about complex systems, symbols, or imposed methods. It is the simple yet profound practice of Te-ate—placing hands, listening deeply, and allowing healing to occur where the body calls for it.
